Josh Paetzel ogłosił ( wydanie FreeNAS 8.0.4, który to bazuje na FreeBSD i udostępnia usługi Network-Attached Storage (NAS). Pojawiła się nowa wersja serwera multimedialnego Firefly (1696_6), który jest kompatybilny z iTunes 10.5.2 i wyższymi wersjami. Dodano Transmission 2.42, Samba 3.6.3 oraz poprawiono znalezione błędy.

Pojawiły się nowe narzędzia arcstat.py i arc_summary.py, które zostały przepisane z FreeBSD, narzędzie linii komend LSI MegaCLI, oraz nowy format .img, który ułatwi montowanie dysków dla użytkowników Windows i Mac OS X.
